After our conference in Churo the team traveled to Amaya to celebrate Resurrection Sunday with the churches of Amaya and Kresia.

On our way we ran into a few camels.

This is the church in Amaya.

Peter Kisur read Scripture for us this morning.

At one point in the service, Bonifice led the congregation in a Turkana hymn.

After the service, we demonstrated the Sawyer water filters we brought with us, thanks to Surfing Servants. We gave out 50 of these filters distributed among five villages. These filters are life savers for these people who battle many kinds of water bourne diseases.

John Kamau is in charge of our water filter demonstrations.

John collected this carmel-colored water to show the effective filtering qualtities of the filter.

Amazingly, what comes out is free of any sediment or disease causing bacteria and actually tastes like fresh spring water!

We also brought some famine relief to these people who continually struggle with food shortages.

We were able to supply over 250 families with a substantial amount of staple foods.

I want to thank all of you who made this mission possible! The Lord has blessed us at every turn and we are so thankful!
